In order for a 1970 Chevelle SS to be appropriately deemed Numbers Matching, it must meet all of the following requirements: the casting number of the engine block must be correct for the car in question the casting date and assembly date of engine must precede the assembly date of the car generally by two weeks or more (this is to allow for shipping from Tonawanda, New York, to the various assembly plants) the VIN sequence must match the assembly plant's procedures with the location of the stamp as well as the appropriate font for the assembly plant in question and the last six digits of the VIN sequence must match the last six digits of the car's VIN. This is the stamp that is used to signify "Numbers Matching" and is very important. The stamp 10A100454 indicates the following: 1=Chevrolet Motor Division 0=1970 A= Atlanta, Georgia, assembly plant 100454 is the last six digits of the vehicle's VIN. The final assembly plant of the car in question will determine which of these two locations it will most likely appear. It was for warranty purposes and both the front engine pad and the vertical pad directly above the oil filter were used for this stamp. This stamp was done at the final assembly plant and not at the engine plant. The 10A100454 stamp is what is known as a VIN sequence number. It is common for engines to be either cast and built on the same day or more than four months later. Notice the block was cast on the 12th and built on the 16th. The stamping T0916CTW indicates the following: T= Tonawanda, New York, engine plant 0916 = September 16 assembly date and CTW indicating RPO 元4 engine and RPO M40 transmission. See all 44 photos 44 photos The date the engine was assembled, the cubic-inch displacement, and the transmission designation was stamped on the front right-hand side of the engine directly in front of the right-side cylinder head. We think it is the best bourbon to use in your old-fashioned. After blending, it is blind proofed to taste and bottled at their Blanco, Texas distillery. Then, 10-to-11-year-old Tennessee whiskey adds structure and tannins. Two-to-three-year-old pot still Texas bourbon lends rusticity and spice, while three-to-four-year-old Kentucky bourbon provides vanilla and fruity flavors. Milam & Greene Triple Cask is a unique blend of three straight bourbons from Texas, Kentucky, and Tennessee, each aged over various years, creating a character-filled whiskey. TX Straight Bourbon Tawny Port Finish and TX Straight Bourbon PX Sherry Finish will both be available to purchase for 64. Rye locally grown in the High Plains of Texas, distilled in Houston and aged for at least 2 years. When we asked why the distillery opened in Texas versus Kentucky (or another part of the country), Greene said, "I think Texas chose me." Which we take as a smart move, especially seeing as how the distillery tripled its sales year-over-year since it began. Texas - Straight Rye Whiskey with notes of spice, honey, vanilla, caramel and butterscotch leads to a bold, complex, peppery palate with hints of cinnamon and tropical fruits. She said, "I love the aspect of experimentation that I'm able to do regarding the effects of climate on whiskey and to compare what's happening in Hill Country to Kentucky." Blended whiskies have been leading the pack in declining sales over the past few decades.Founder, CEO, and master blender Heather Greene spoke with Tasting Table about making whiskey in Texas. Blended whiskies were considered to be too bland by Bourbon and Rye drinkers, and consumers with a taste for lighter spirits soon migrated to Vodka and Gin. Blended American whiskies had a great sales boost during and just after World War II when distillers promoted them as a way of stretching their limited supply of straight whiskey. Since it would be several years of aging before the first batch could be released, they blended four undisclosed types of whiskey to make TX Whiskey. The two owners started in 2012 with a plan to make bourbon. Modern blends utilize dozens of different straight whiskies to insure a consistent flavor profile. Fort Worth, TX 76119 ©2023 Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. TX Whiskey comes from Firestone & Robertson Distilling in Ft. Compared to straight whiskies they were relatively inexpensive and bland in character. Early blends were frequently flavored with everything from sherry to plug tobacco. The Texas Whiskey Association (TXWA) is a membership group of Texas distilleries with the stated goal to promote Texas whiskey, educate consumers and support distilleries that produce whiskey all within the territorial boundaries of the state of Texas. They start with grain, then they mash, ferment, distill, mature and bottle all within the State of Texas. Our member distilleries craft their Certified Texas Whiskeys with true Texas pride. The TX brand range includes super-premium whiskey and bourbon. The taste and quality of these whiskies, then as now, varies according to the ratio of straight whiskey to neutral grain spirit. The Texas Whiskey Trail takes you on a journey of authentic achievement. Pernod Ricard, through Pernod Ricard USA, has announced the acquisition of Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co., owner of the TX brand, a leading whiskey portfolio headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. Distillers would blend one or more straight whiskies (Bourbon and Rye) with these neutral spirits in varying proportions to create their own branded blend. It has a general whiskey flavor profile (most closely resembling Bourbon), but lacks any defining taste characteristic.īlended whiskies date from the early 19th century when the invention of the column still made possible the production of neutral spirits. Blended American Whiskey is required to contain at least 20% straight whiskey with the balance being unaged neutral spirit or, in a few cases, high-proof light whiskey. Popular in the States as well as Latin America, Buchanan’s 12 Year is noted for its honey toast, spice, and fruit flavors. This flies in the face of nearly every eBook or pdf instructional book ever made. You simply dismiss that 120-150 dpi images sufficiently display for such a workbook. No one said the images are not important. If you ever do, you might see why I believe that for the target market, just following the numbered, step-by-step instructions without the accompanying high resolution printed images to compare the on-screen results to would provide a significantly less comprehensive & more frustrating teaching experience. You can pick up some of that by working through the projects but unless you already know how to do basic graphics editing work, which tool does what, how to access various panels, the difference between vector & raster objects, & things like that, you are probably going to be disappointed & more than a little frustrated by how difficult it will be. If that is what you want, look elsewhere. or not.Īnyway, for those wondering if the workbooks are right for them please be aware that they are not, nor are they intended to be, comprehensive manuals that will teach you everything the apps can do, how to use every tool, or answer all your questions about basic functionalities. No, I have not seen a physical book so have not dealt with any of the project files. Serif has stated they ain't gonna release electronic versions.no matter the image resolution. I would also argue that for this purpose, the text instructions are paramount. But I did mention they could as well be 150 dpi, eh? That should allow for a zoom of 150-200%. Screen resolution is sufficient to compare on-screen. But thanks for your attempt to obfuscate. What I called the workbooks isn't important. Manuals, workbook, teaching aide, whatever. Of course, they could sell electronically distributed virtual versions of the workbooks with low resolution images to keep the file size down, but they would not provide this & I doubt many users would find them anywhere near as useful. This is so users can compare the book's images side-by-side to what they see on screen or to their own printed out versions, which among other things provides a standard for comparison that is constant regardless of their monitor or printer characteristics. They do include a brief introductory section that covers the basics but their primary focus is on teaching users how to use the software to achieve specific end results via a series of 'learn by doing' projects, with much of the projects' content presented in high resolution printed images. The Affinity workbooks are not product manuals. And speaking of Acrobat, the same thing can be done to the very pfds used to print the workbook, including cropping the pages. I cannot imagine either workbook would be larger than 5 megs. Even so, it should then be ran through Acrobat to optimize it. PagePlus, which did the first two workbooks (I really hope Serif is attempting to use APub for its workbook) can also as easily produce a screen version and it wouldn't be a big pdf. However, your second paragraph is a bogus issue. The passwords to open the pdf would need to be communicated to the end user and likely would be passed along as well. It takes strong pdf open passwords to secure a pdf. Yes, pdf permissions passwords can be removed in less than 1 second. The only way I know to 'lock down' a PDF is with a password but pirates could post them on the web so that would not be very effective.īesides, the workbooks include a lot of images printed at high resolutions, so the file size of a PDF version would probably be too massive for most users to want to download & store on their drives. Right now, therefore, it would seem that the market is big enough for both of them, especially if they focus on their strengths and back off the public statements throwing shade on their competitor. You need to share a lot of personal information, including a credit card, phone number, and business email before moving ahead in MS Teams. SMEs are also more likely to favour software that allows for easy on and off-boarding of the freelancers on whom many rely. They are much more likely to want flexible, affordable software that can be implemented and learned easily. SMEs do not necessarily need tools that facilitate communication and collaboration between vast numbers of people. Outside of this market, however, the situation is rather different. Slack, the company behind the popular workplace collaboration tool of the same name, saw its share price drop by more than 8 percent on Tuesday after Microsoft announced that Teams, a direct. This is particularly so, given that these are the sort of companies that are likely to have an established, working relationship with Microsoft. The close integration with Outlook and Office365 and, probably to a lesser extent, Yammer may be enough to make Microsoft the top choice with enterprise customers. File sharing and collaboration: Teams allows you to share Office 365 files and work on them together on the workspace. But while the two solutions may share similar features, such as chat, videoconferencing and file sharing, analyzing their key differences can help you determine which one would be a better fit for your organization. There have, however, been exceptions to this, such as the launch of the XBox, which is totally consumer-orientated. Microsoft Teams and Slack are two of the leading communication and collaboration platforms available for businesses. Microsoft has always been a company that has largely focussed on corporates first. They found an appeal in the science fiction aspect of Transformers, with the characters themselves being technological lifeforms who were at war with each other. Since neither Forward nor DiTillio had been familiar with the Transformers brand beforehand, the pair decided to create something completely new and different from the ground up. Nonetheless, Forward and DiTillio were willing to meet and talk with Brough, who wanted the two for their adept storytelling prowess and was willing to give them total creative control. Lip-syncing and facial expressions for the characters were made using an advanced facial animation program called GRIN, which had been custom-made by Mainframe themselves.Įxecutive producer Christopher Brough recruited television writers Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio as story editors for Beast Wars, which the two were initially disinterested in due to not being fans of giant robots. Character modeling for the series was done using hardware developed by Silicon Graphics and software developed by Softimage, with toys from the Beast Wars toyline provided by Hasbro to use as a basis for each character model.Ĭharacter animation was all done in-house, with Mainframe creating a working environment that allowed as much work to be done within the same company as possible, creating smoother communication and work efficiency between each production department, in contrast to how competitor animated productions of the time would instead divide their animation labor between multiple companies for budgetary reasons. Prior to working on Beast Wars, Mainframe had pioneered in the use three-dimensional computer-generated imagery for television animation with their critically-acclaimed ReBoot series, which was itself the world's first fully 3D CG-animated television series with 22-minute episode lengths (and which even predated such films as Pixar's Toy Story). Mainframe's animators took pains to ensure their characters gestured and emoted in great detail, and the "camera" work often took creative advantage of the format's flexibility.Įarly CGI model work for the initial Beast Wars cast.īeast Wars was produced by Canadian animation company Mainframe Entertainment, and distributed for syndicated television by Claster Television and Alliance Atlantis. The show's CGI, though somewhat primitive by today's standards, was revolutionary by television standards of the time (and puts some later shows to shame). Some of the show's mysteries and machinations still remain topics for fan debate decades after its conclusion. Strong characterization, top-notch scripting and voice acting, and complex, overarching plot threads are among the reasons cited for the show's enduring popularity. The show won over many viewers through fun, intriguing stories and generally high production values. The third season was entirely structured around the Maximals defending their dormant Autobot ancestors aboard the ancient crashed Ark. These ties to the original story increased as the second season progressed and the planet was revealed as prehistoric Earth, the characters having been thrown back in time. Though at first the show seemed to be in an entirely separate continuity, by the end of the first season's 26 episodes, viewers had been treated to a number of classical Transformers references, such as Unicron and even the reappearance of Starscream, last seen as a ghost in the third season of the original cartoon. The Energon forces the newly arrived Transformers to take on protective beast forms to shield themselves from the ambient Energon radiation. The planet abounds in mystery, with vast deposits of raw energon and evidence of alien activity. 9.1.2 Super Lifeform Transformers: Beast Wars Metalsīeast Wars opens at an unspecified time and place, where two warring factions of robots have crashed on a strange planet populated by animals like those on Earth.9.1.1 Beast Wars: Super Lifeform Transformers. In honour of this official No. That’s idk weirdly beautiful and also very telling of both nezumi and shion’s characters. Shion knows the chance nezumi’s given him. He’s acknowledges that the fact that they were able to hold on to even the slightest bit of humanity in their situations is amazing and in the same situation he might not even have done so well. He means that had he been given their lives, or even his own life, but none of the care or protection they offer him now, there’s a chance he could’ve turned out to be someone worse than any of them. That’s what he means when he calls nezumi or inukashi or even rikiga kind or amazing. Shion, to his credit, totally acknowledges this every step of the way. That shion was able to stay kind was in part due to his own resilience ofc but also in part due to what nezumi gave him. When nezumi started he had none of that and had to fight for it. Its nezumi’s house, nezumi’s food, nezumi’s protection he’s living with. And it was 100% nezumi’s intervention that saved him from that. He might have become the others in west block, the ones that attacked him. One of the best things about no.6 imo is that it very much acknowledges that shion is still very lucky, even privileged, in many ways and had he been thrust into the situation without help he might have turned out way worse than nez. |
